Indeed, fear has created Trump

One of my socialist friends said that Trump plays on fear. I actually denied this during our discussion, although in retrospect I have decided that she was right: Trump does play on fear.

Trump caters to Americans who no longer recognize their country, and who fear losing it. He caters to Americans who fear terrorism, and feel our leaders are doing nothing about it.

You have immigrants coming into this country left and right.  Actually, immigrant refers to those who come into our country legally.  Those who come in illegally are not immigrants, they are invaders. We have no idea who these people are. They have nothing to offer. They are coming here for free stuff. They have no intention of learning English or assimilating.

Most immigrants who have been allowed to come into our country legally over the years are people who have something to offer.  They are lawyers and doctors and scientists.  They are engineers and journalists. They were inventors. They came here and they wanted to become Americans. They were glad to learn English and American history and were more than eager to hang American flags on their front porches.

Invaders have no intention of learning English.  They have no desire to learn American history. They do not care how America was formed.  They have no interest in learning about American Exceptionalism. In fact, some of them hate America, and believe their country is better than America. They are only here to take advantage of our generosity.

And, of course, once they come in, they know our leaders will not enforce immigration laws, and will not kick them out. In fact, there are some leaders in both parties who want to grant amnesty to invaders, even giving them pathways to citizenship.

Democrats want them to become citizens to they will vote for them, and most polls show they would. Democrats need victims, a permanent underclas sincapable of taking care of themselves, incapable of providing for themselves who will always be counted on to vote Democrat to be taken care of by programs created by democrats.  A majority of democrats across the board, both among the voting class and the establishment, support some sort of amnesty for illegal aliens. They feel this is the compassionate thing to do. Or at least that's what they say, because the real reason is that they want their votes.

A majority of republican voters do not support amnesty. To them this is the compassionate thing to do for the majority of Americans who want to preserve the culture that was formed after this country was established. They believe illegal aliens are here illegally, they are destroying our economy, and they are destroying our culture. Yes, it's sad that some people might have their feelings hurt, but they broke the law and they have to go.

The only republicans who support amnesty are among the establishment. They think that in order to continue winning elections they need the Hispanic vote, and the only way to get them is to be seen as the nice guys who supported amnesty. They somehow think that if they support amnesty, by some magical means Hispanics will start voting republican, which is not going to happen.

This is why you have people like Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush supporting amnesty. Bush has been pro amnesty all along, along with his older brother George W. Bush. Rubio was a member of the gang of eight who got an amnesty bill through Congress. Other republicans said they would support the Gang of Eight Bill so long as their was an adjunct to the Bill promising that any illegal allowed granted amnesty was not allowed to become a citizen for 10,15,20, or 30 years. The idea was that they would not be allowed to vote for many years down the road, making this Bill not about voting. But nobody in the establishment of either party was interested.

And then you have people like Chuck Schumer saying, "This is not about voting; this is not about citizenship; we are granting amnesty, not citizenship." But they as soon as the bill passes, they are going to start saying things like, "We are allowing them to live here, work here, join our military, and so now that compassionate thing to do is to allow them to become citizens and to allow them to vote." You know that's what's going to happen, because that's how democrats operate.  They lie.

If you don't believe me, look at how Obamacare got passed. They said it was going to lower healthcare costs. They said you can keep your current healthcare program if you liked it. They said healthcare premiums would go down. They said it was going to help the economy. They said it was not a tax. And then as soon as it was passed, the Supreme Court declared that it was a tax. And then healthcare costs went up. And then healthcare premiums went up. And then businesses stopped hiring full time workers and the number of part time jobs skyrocketed. You see, they tell you what you want to hear to get their bills passed, and then when they pass they change their minds. And no one ever calls them on it, but that's a story for another day.

Making matters worse is some people believe the 14th Amendment gives anyone born within our borders automatic citizenship. For this reason pregnant women come into our country to have their children, for free in American hospitals (and these hospitals can't afford it, and some have closed because of it), so their children will gain citizenship. Then they become anchor babies and democrats and republicans alike won't send them nor law breaking families home.

So democrats support amnesty because they need a permanent underclass to create programs for so these people continue to vote democrat, and most republican voters don't understand why the republican establishment would by into this. Voters cannot fathom why any republican would sign onto this, and then you have Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio doing exactly that.

Amnesty would do nothing more than give democrats a permanent voting class, and it would destroy the republican party and it would therefore destroy any culture that's left over from our founding. It would destroy America. Voter hate this idea, and the establishment is saying, "Screw You!" And that is what has created Donald Trump. The republican establishment keeps pushing Amnesty, the voters keep saying they don't want it, and the establishment continues supporting amnesty. Voters are fed up with it, they are angry, and they are supporting an outsider in Trump who says he will, once and for all, remedy the immigration/invasion problem.

They are coming here to take advantage of our country. Yes, we have every reason to be ticked off about this. We have every reason to fear this, and fear that our leaders don't care. And that is why Donald Trump has 42% of the republican vote, because he says he will build a way, and he will deport illegals, and he will do it; people believe he will do it. And so that is why he is so popular. That is the essence of the Trump movement.

And, coming in among them, are people who want to destroy our nation. They are people who establish themselves into our country in order to destroy us, to terrorize us, from within. And despite this fact, our leaders, both republicans and democrats, have done nothing to stop it.  In fact, the invasion has been put on steroids during the Obama administration.

Democrats have created rules that allow illegal immigrants invaders access to many of the programs offered by government, and they surely cannot be turned down by hospitals.  Most of them have no ability to pay their medical bills, and this is a problem because it is illegal for hospitals to turn them down. So our hospitals, or our government, gets stuck paying their medical bills. Some of them have closed their doors, leaving American citizens with no local hospitals.

And the influx of invaders, who are not doctors and lawyers and journalists, who are people who would have something to offer. They are poor people, people who our government allows to have access to food stamps and welfare. This is a huge economic burden, costing us millions of dollars each year.

Added to that is the fact that they are taking jobs Americans would do. But Americans can't take these jobs because the supply of workers is to great that the wages for these jobs have declined so much they are not worth taking. Economics 101 suggests that as the demand for jobs increases and the supply of jobs stays the same, wages decrease.

I think it was Ted Cruz who said that journalists would care if it were journalists coming across the border driving down their wages.  Lawyers would care if it were lawyers coming over driving down the wages for lawyers.

Yes, there is fear here. And making matters worse, you have countries walking all over America. You have our leaders making bad deals with nations like Iran, setting them on a track to obtaining nuclear weapons. Could you imagine if ISIS gets access to such weapons? It's possible.  And our leaders are doing nothing about it.

We also have a national debt that is spiralling out of control, and this problem is only exacerbated by a president who just proposed adding another $4.3 trillion to this debt. And then you have one candidate in Bernie Sanders who proposes for the government to increase taxes by $500 a month so he can hand out more "free stuff" and this only adds to the burden and the fear. It solves nothing. We are already spending money at a faster clip than we can afford, and adding more entitlements only gives more power to those in power, and this does more harm than good.

Adding to this is you have member of the Obama administration making bad deals with climate change activists in Paris to set more global regulations that make it even harder for corporations to make profits. You have so many regulations that it's almost not even worth opening up a new factory in the U.S., because there is so much overhead just to start. This is one reason why corporations like Ford open new factories in Mexico instead of the U.S. Add to this the rising minimum wages and rising costs of healthcare, and it only gets worse.

It seems there is no bottom line any more. There are no limits to immigration, there are no limits to how far taxes can go. There are no limits to social programs. There are no limits to how many regulations can be created. No limit to how many women you can seduce. No limit to who you can marry. No limit on socal values.

There are no rules. There are no limits.

And that is why religion was so important to our nation. That is why immigration and immigration laws were so important, because they assured that, if you come here, you will become one of us and make us better as a nation.  You had something to offer.  Now we just let anyone in, regardless of who you are, regardless of what you have to offer.

There are no limits to social decline. For instance, there are not leaders who say, "Hey, you cannot say that! You cannot do that!"

Even parents are no longer setting limits.  Dads used to set the rules.  Dad's would say things like, "You will not have sex until you are married.  You will go to college.  You will work. You will not lip off.  You will not support communism in this house. You will be a good person. You will say nice things. If you don't, you will get a licking."

The same thing with mothers. My grandma used to click me on the head when I was naughty. She took me to church, and when she was unable she expected I would go myself. If she found out I didn't go, I was in trouble. I might have been yelled at. She made me feel uncomfortable. I always felt uncomfortable when I broke rules, because there was that underlying guilty feeling they created in the back of my mind."

Now there is not guilt. This is because there has been an all out onslaught of Christianity. There has been an onslaught on religion. There has been an onslaught on rules of civilization. There has been an onslaught on institutions.  There has been an onslaught on American Exceptionalism. Examples of this is when Obama appologizes to our enemies, and breaks apart our mighty military, and has our enemies bail out stalled Navy ships and has soldiers bow to our enemies in embarrassment.

There just seems to be no common sense in government anymore. There doesn't seem to be anyone who says, "Woah, let's put on the brakes. We cannot afford this.  We cannot do this. We cannot continue to artificially raise the minimum wage. We cannot continue to increase regulations and burdens on businesses. We cannot continue to raise taxes on the middle or working class.  We cannot continue to allow people to invade our nation. We are in a state of moral and social decline. We need to STOP!"

We need adults, mature people, in positions of power to stop the attack on institutions, and to stop the attacks on people who succeed. We need people to stop the attacks on capitalism.  We need people to stop the attacks on liberty. We need people to stop the attacks on Christianity.  We need people to recognize and stop the moral decline of our nation.

There's no "there" there anymore. There's no basis, there's no foundation, there's no bottom line. It seems like we're in a free-for-all when it comes to any kind of values you want to talk about: Cultural, political, pop culture, you name it.

Look, for most of history America has been about getting away from too much government. We don't want government telling us what to do and how to live our lives. Now we have people in government who make it bigger and bigger. They make it so we must obey government. We Were once told to questions authority, and now we are told to obey the government or we are racist.

Enough!

We need some mature people in positions of power.  We need some adults. We do not need someone we like. We need someone who will say, "Enough! Stop! We cannot afford this. We don't have money for this. We cannot solve everyone's problems. We cannot afford to be everything for everyone. We are going to bankrupt if we don't stop. Our country is going to fail if we don't stop. If we stop, we can make America great again, just you wait and see."

This is how Trump came about.  He's the only one speaking out against all this.  He's the one who says we need to stop; we need to put the breaks on; we need to follow the rule of law; we need to set limits; we cannot afford this.  Trump, in essence, is the dad or the mom. Surely you don't want to be told no, but sometimes it's for your own good.

So, in this way, liberalism created Trump.  Obama created Trump.  The establishment republicans established Trump. I say this because, in the last two midterm elections, they were voted into office under the promise that they would stop Obama. They have not. They have allowed Obama to accomplish all his goals. They have done nothing to stop him. That has people mad. That has created Trump.

I think that there's a sizable percentage of people in this country that are frightened, scared at the lack of values, the lack of anything solid to depend on. When a downward spiral happens, there's nothing to put the brakes on it. There's nothing to stop it. Everything just keeps descending with very little end in sight. And nobody in the political culture is talking about it -- except Trump.

They have reason to be scared. You have legislators in New York trying to pass a bill that would allow illegal, undocumented aliens to vote in New York City elections. You also have 60% of democrats who think socialism would be great for America. Most Americans do not want either of these to ever happen, because they would destroy America. This fear has created Trump.

I don't want to compare the current democratic party to Hitler's Nazi party, but it was socialist ideas of Hitler that mesmerized Germany. He said he was going to assure everyone a job with fair wages, and he was going to give everyone free healthcare and free college. He offered to take care of the sick. He offered to take care of the elderly. He offered to take care of everyone. He offered everything to everyone.

And so the scary thing is he won an election, and then once he was in office he took away Bibles and he took away any freedom of choice among the populace, and he forced people to join the military, and he started to kill Jews, and he started wars to take over the world. You see, democrats aren't that bad, but they like to mesmerize people by saying they will give them free stuff. And when they are elected they will pass laws, and every new law takes away another freedom. Every new law, every new regulation, takes us closer and closer to socialism, which is exactly what we fought against in WWII, and Vietnam, and etc.

So Bernie Sanders is not on the cook fringe of the democratic party anymore, he is in the mainstream. He is a typical democrat now. And what he has to say is very seductive. Socialism is always seductive. But socialism never works. Eventually you will run out of money. Socialism says everyone will be equal, but what happened in Russia? You had the middle class, the entire middle class, lined up in food lines. They had plenty of food, but no one willing to get it into homes.

Since everyone was taken care of, there was no incentive to do anything. Heck, why would I become a respiratory therapist when I could work at a front desk at a hotel and make the same money. Why become a doctor? Why become a nurse? Why become a teacher and put up with pesky kids when I can do a less stressful job, an easier job, and make the same money. Socialism is very seductive, but it never works. It will not work in America either, but our leaders don't care. They say, Screw You.  And that created Trump.

The destruction of the American economy by those we entrusted with running our government, created Trump. The destruction of our healthcare system, the attack on our culture, and the decline of culture, decency and morality created Trump. The out of control spending created Trump. I mean, people have fears that our country as we know it may not exist if Hilary or Sanders gets elected. Truly, the fears are justified.

You have people like me who can't get ahead. You have people like me who are living pay check to pay check and who worry about their bills going up; their taxes going up. There are legitimate fears that our kids won't even live in the same country we grew up in. There's the fear they will some day get the bill for our out of control spending.

So, yes, fear has created Trump. When he comes in with the slogan (the same one used by Ronald Reagan, by the way) of "Make America Great Again!" people hear it. People want their country back. Americans feel America is no longer great.  One poll even showed that 58% of Americans say they no longer recognize their country.  They are afraid it might not be around much longer. They want it back.

We, as Americans, do not live in fear. Yet it we have been taught from the beginning, since the days of our founding, that freedom is fragile.  If we want to continue living in the American dream, then we must fear the worst and prepare for it.

Legal Immigration: Myth Buster

Oh, there have been so many myths about immigration tossed around lately it's almost enough to make me puke. In this post I will allay many of them.

1.  Conservative Republicans are anti-immigrant.  False.  What we are opposed to is illegal immigration. We believe it is important to follow the rule of law. Crossing the border legally is following the rule of law.  Crossing the border illegally is not following the rule of law.  Letting illegal immigrants stay in this country, and receive entitlements paid for by citizens and meant to be for citizens is not following the rule of law.  Providing amnesty (official pardons) to those who came into our country illegally is not following the rule of law. If you do not follow the rule of law, what you have in anarchy.

2.  Putting a moratorium on legal immigration during times of war is unconstitutional.  False.  Trump called for a temporary ban on Muslim immigrants into the U.S., and the republican establishment, democrats, and the media just about went crazy. They called Trumps idea anywhere from "controversial," "racist," "un-American," "un-constitutional," "fascist," and simply "crazy."  None of these are true.  Pat Buchanan answers this call best in his column "Establishment Unhinged." He wrote:
The Constitution protects freedom of religion for U.S. citizens. But citizens of foreign lands have no constitutional right to migrate. And federal law gives a president broad powers in deciding who comes and who does not, especially in wartime. In 1924, Congress restricted immigration from Asia, reduced the numbers coming from southern and Central Europe, and produced a 40-year moratorium on most immigration into the United States. Its authors and President Coolidge wanted ours to remain a nation whose primary religious and ethnic ties were to Europe, not Africa or Asia. Under FDR, Truman and JFK, this was the law of the land. Did this represent 40 years of fascism?
2.  Closing our borders is un-American. False. Calvin Coolidge signed a law in 1924 closing our borders to immigrants. This was done because there was a massive influx of immigration, and coming in among these immigrants were anarchist terrorists. Perhaps the best example came on September 14, 1901, in Buffalo, New York, when William McKinley was assassinated by Leon Czolgosz (which ironically gave us our first progressive president). Czolgosz was an anarchist terrorist who had immigrated from Europe. Between then and 1924 there were various bombings committed by anarchists from Europe within our borders. Names of other socialist-anarchist-terrorists from Europe were Ferdinando Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzett. They were both tried, convicted, and executed for acts of domestic terrorism. In order to curb the trend, Congress and President Coolidge decided to close the borders in 1924. They stayed closed until Lyndon signed a bill reopening them in 1965. (For the record, progressives at the time claimed that Sacco and Vanzett were wrongly accused.)

3.  Illegal immigration is not an economics issue, as republicans say.  False.  Immigration, whether legal or illegal, IS an economics issue.  Immigrants have an impact on American supply and demand for jobs.  As the supply of workers for a specific job increases, the wages employers need to pay decreases. So not only are illegal immigrants taking jobs that Americans are willing to do, they are driving down the wages and salaries these jobs pay, thus rendering them about useless for Americans seeking employment. This in turn drives up the unemployment rates.  The total unemployment in the U.S. right now is about 40 percent if you include those seeking work and those who have given up. This is much higher than the 25 percent unemployment rate of 1933.  Of course those no longer seeking work are not seen in soup lines, and that's because they are living off welfare programs. So, as you can see, illegal immigration is too an economic issue.  It is for this reason it is important to secure the border and enforce immigration laws already on the books.

4.  It is bigoted, racist, and un-American to close our borders.  False.  As noted above, it has been done before to defend and protect the American people. The number one role of government is to provide for the security of the American people. If people live in fear of leaving their homes, they will stay in their homes and stop spending money.  If this happens, the economy will tank.  This is one of the reasons Coolidge signed a bill closing the borders in 1924. It is absolutely not un-American to do what is needed to protect and defend the American people.

5.  A religious test for refugees goes against everything America stands for. False. As a matter of fact, it is statutory (required by law) and we have always screened for religion. We have to. The reason is because, when refugees say they are fleeing their country due to religious persecution, we have to ask them what religion they are. They have to tell us, because that's the only way we can validate their story. We can prove that there is, say, religious persecution going on in Syria. What we cannot prove is that every person claiming to be fleeing Syria due to religious persecution is telling the truth. So we have to verify their stories. In order to do this, we have to ask them their religion. It is the law. We also need to make sure they are actually refugees, and not members of some terrorist organization. This is common sense. The people who say we cannot ask immigrants where they are from or what religion they practice are the ones who are not well informed. 

 6.  It is not compassionate to close our borders. False. It's compassionate to help out refugees, and it's compassionate to keep our borders open to legal immigration to allow aliens an opportunity to experience American Exceptionalism.  What is often not considered here is compassion for American men and women who can't find a decent paying job because illegal immigrants are flooding the market and driving down wages. What is often not considered here is compassion for citizens and their families who are victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens. What is often not considered here is compassion for tax payers who are forced to pay for entitlement programs meant to help Americans hard on their luck only to see this money going to support immigrants here illegally. What is often not considered here is compassion for the immigrants who take the legal path to citizenship only to see those who came here illegally shown more compassion. What is often not considered here is compassion for Americans who don't feel safe and secure. What is often not considered is compassion for traditional Americans who feel they are strangers in their own country

7.  We cannot let one group in at the expense of another. False. We can and we have done so in the past. You do not let people into your country who pose a threat. For instance, if we are at war with the people of one country, you don't let people from that country into our country. As a matter of fact, FDR closed the borders to Japanese, German, and Italian aliens. While he has allowed Syrian Refugees into America, TheHill.com reported in January of 2015 that Obama refused to allow Christian Refugees into this country.  While he plans to allow 10,000 Syrian Refugees into this country over the next  year, there are no Christian Refugees that will be allowed in.  Let me add to this. Passed by a Democratic Congress and signed into law by a Democrat President, was The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (number eight US Code 1182, inadmissible aliens).  It reads:
"Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by president. Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."
The law was first used in 1979 by Democrat President Jimmy Carter.  He used the law to prevent Iranians from entering the United States during the Hostage Crisis.  He also made Iranian students already here check in, and if they did not have appropriate papers he deported them.  And this was not done in secret either, as Carter announced to the world he was doing this on national television.

The very first US immigration law was the Chinese Exclusionary Act of 1882. Then there was the Anarchist Exclusion Act of 1903. So it is not un-American, nor racist, nor irrational, to prevent a group of people who might pose a threat to national security from entering our country.  As a matter of fact, it's the smart thing to do.

8.  We can properly vet refugees.  False. How can we do this when we can't even find illegal immigrants in our own country. How can we do that when we don't even know who is coming into our country illegally.  How can we do that if, as democrats say, we cannot ask them what their religion is.  How do we know they are really religious or political refugees if we cannot ask them where they are from and what religion they are? The answer is you can't. There is no database listing who is a refugee, so you have to ask them where they are from and what religion they practice.  In fact, as noted above, it's statutory. 

Conclusion.  The truth is, we have been at war with Muslim extremists since the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, and every president since has downplayed the issue. Clinton, Bush, and Obama have all avoided the issue of immigration. They have down played it out of fear that they might be seen as no compassionate or racist or bigoted.  The result is a border that is so porous we have no idea who is crossing it. The practice of continuing to allow porous borders is suicide.  It would be like living in an impoverished neighborhood with a high rate of gang violence and keeping your doors unlocked and windows open.  Why would we continue to let people into our country at such a dangerous time as this?

Illegal Immigration: Myths, Facts, Solutions

In one pithy post here, I would like to allay any and all myths regarding illegal immigration. I would also like to postulate simple solutions to this problem.

Some Statistics.  At the present time it is estimated that 12 million illegal aliens live in the United States.  It is also estimated that about 700,000 are coming into our country illegally, and staying here, each year.  Most of these illegal aliens are unskilled and uneducated. They are not doctors, lawyers, mathematicians, or scientists, or people who will make our country better.  This is why they must come here illegally.

Here are the myths, the truths, and the solutions. 

Myth #1:  Illegal Immigration is not an economics issue.  False.  Illegal immigrants affect the economy in a negative way.  Even the New York Times acknowledges this. Minimum wage laws do not apply to illegal immigrants. So, rather than blue berry farmers (for example) having to pay $8.50 for seasonal blue berry pickers, illegal immigrants are willing to take $5 an hour. So, in this way, illegal immigrants drive down wages. Plus, economics 101 says that if you flood the market with people willing to do a job, wages will go down.  If you have a million low skilled and uneducated men willing to pick blue berries, this bodes well for illegal immigrants searching for work, and it also bodes well for the blue berry pickers who now pay less wages. But it does not bode so well for the American man who need that job to support his family. So, as you can see, the influx of illegal immigrants also explains why we have a record 94 million working age men and women no longer looking for work, and why the unemployment rate is as high as 40%.

Some more statistics.  The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimated that, between 2008 and 2010, over a million U.S. jobs were filled by illegal immigrants. Illegal aliens pay no taxes, but they are able to receive a free education, free healthcare, free housing assistance, and food stamp benefits. This comes at an annual cost that exceeds tens of billions of dollars each year.

Myth #2.  Illegal immigrants do the work no Americans are willing to do.  False.  Actually, this  is the argument that the republican establishment -- i.e. Jeb Bush and John Kasich -- used to support their proposals for amnesty (official pardons) for illegal immigrants already living here. They see illegal immigration as a necessity in order to fill the jobs that no one else wants to do.  They see this as the "nice" or "kind-hearted" solution to the immigration issue.  They think if they are seen as "nice" and "kind-hearted" that people will be more likely to vote for them. They also falsely believe that, once they become citizens, they will vote republican.  But it's not that no one wants to do these jobs. In fact, who do you think did these jobs before the influx of illegal immigrants? It was Americans. Americans who need to support themselves and their families, and cannot find jobs elsewhere, would be more than happy to do the jobs illegal immigrants are doing.

Solution #1.  Enforce immigration laws already on the books. Penalize employers who hire illegal aliens. This will make it so they cannot find work, and will be forced to leave on their own.  As you will see in a moment, this is a method Dwight D. Eisenhower used.

Myth #3.  Deporting illegal aliens would be impossible. False.  It is not impossible.  In fact, Dwight D. Eisenhower deported 1.5 million illegal aliens.  This was a point that Trump recently reminded Bush and Kasich about. You can add to this that Harry S. Truman deported 3.4 million illegal aliens.  So it is not impossible to deport illegal aliens, and it has been done before. In fact, Eisenhower did this during a post war economic boom.  He didn't want to slow down the economy by allowing illegal aliens to take jobs away from Americans.  He also didn't want to see wages go down.

Myth #4.  Deporting illegal aliens would be inhumane.  When people were deported in the 1940s and 1950s, sometimes inhumane methods were used.  Sometimes aliens would be deported to the middle of a dessert.  In one incident 88 died.  But Trump said those were isolated incidents.  He said he would be sure to use good management to make sure the deportations were done humanely.  But most would not have to be deported, because if the employers who hired them were penalized, there would be no jobs for them and they'd go home on their own.  Saying it would be inhumane to deport illegal aliens, or that we would be breaking up families, is just an excuse by people who don't want to do it.  Mexico deports illegal aliens all the time, and you don't hear sob stories about that.  Rush Limbaugh said that if 12 million tax payers decided not to pay taxes, the IRS would find them and not worry about the impact of putting them in jail on their families. Look, democrats and establishment republicans are constantly talking about compassion for illegal immigrants and their families.  What they don't talk about is compassion American workers who get "screwed because of all the unskilled, and uneducated workers that will work for dirt cheap," said Limbaugh.

Myth #5.  Illegal Aliens won't leave on their own.  False.  During the Eisenhower administration, 2.1 million illegal aliens went home on their own.  He was able to do this simply by enforcing laws already on the books and penalizing employers who hire illegal immigrants. When there is no work, illegal immigrants have no choice but to go home.

More Statistics.   Some are sick with infectious diseases and never would have been allowed legally. Likewise, many are criminals who never would been allowed in legally, so they sneak in and commit their crimes here. It costs states billions of dollars each year to incarcerate criminals who never should have been in the U.S. to begin with. They make up about 30% of prisoners in local, state, and federal prisons.

Myth #6.  We have always had an open borders policy. False.  Between 1924 and 1965 we had a closed border policy. This was why Eisenhower and Truman were forced to deal with an influx of illegal aliens.

Myth #7.  Deporting illegal aliens would be racist and mean spirited. False. It's not mean to deport people who broke the law. They are illegal.  They came here illegally.  They are ruining our economy.  They need to be punished. You know that Eisenhower had some illegal aliens taken home, and they came back.  So he took them back home, and they came back again.  So then he had them taken someplace way on the other side of Mexico, and they never came back.  This was a man who was referred to as a nice guy. Enforcing the law doesn't make you mean. Even the Bible teaches that those who break the law are sinners who should be punished. Punishing those who break the law is not being mean.

Solution #2.  Build a wall.  Building a wall would make it really tough for people to come in illegally.  There was a bill passed seven years ago by Congress allowing for a 700 mile wall to be built. During the Obama administration, less than 50 miles of this law has been built.

Myth #8.  Building a wall would be impossible.  False.  There is a wall in Israel and it works.  There is a wall in China and it works.

Solution #3.  Enforce the laws already on the books.

Myth #9.  There are no laws to deal with illegal immigrants.  False. There are enough laws on the books that, if they are enforced, would solve the immigration problem.  Penalize employers who hire illegal immigrants. Build a wall. Guard the wall. Send anyone who comes in illegally back home. These are all covered by laws already on the books.

Myth #10.  People who don't support amnesty hate immigrants.  False.  No one is opposed to people coming into this country legally.  In fact, this is a good thing.  And, very important here, just because I agree with Donald Trump that a wall needs to be built, and that the 12 million illegal immigrants should be sent home, does not mean I hate immigrants.  It does not mean I'm racist.  It does not mean I lack passion.  It does not mean losing my big heart. It does not mean I am against the idea of people coming into our country with the dream of making a better life for themselves. They can still come in. They can do it legally. I am anti illegal immigrant.  I am anti invasion of immigrants.  I am not anti immigrant.

Myth #11.  Illegal immigration is not a serious issue.  I think that Ted Cruz explained why this is a myth when he spoke at the presidential debate on Fox Business Network. He said: "I understand that when the mainstream media covers immigration, it doesn’t often see it as an economic issue. But I can tell you for millions of Americans at home, watching this, it is a very personal economic issue. And I will say the politics of it would be very, very different if a bunch of lawyers or bankers were crossing the Rio Grande. Or if a bunch of people with journalism degrees were coming over and driving down the wages in the press. Then we would see stories about the economic calamity that is befalling our nation. And I will say for those of us who believe people ought to come to this country legally and we should enforce the law, we’re tired of being told, it is anti-immigrant. It’s offensive."

Myth #12.  Illegal immigration is a civil rights issue.  False. Democrats, and those of the republican establishment, like Bush and Kasich, see immigration as a civil rights issue. They see them as people of color who just want to make a better life for themselves. So that is the reason they come here illegally.  They just want a chance.  And if we do not let them stay, if we don't grant them amnesty, then we are not being fair to them.  And, for the record, civil rights means that we enforce the laws equally among the people. You cannot grant amnesty to just people you like.  It's not a civil rights issue because the laws clearly state that anyone who comes in illegally, anyone at all, should be deported.  It's not a civil rights issue.  All illegal aliens have broken the law. All illegal aliens should be deported.  If you just let some stay because they are Mexicans, or some stay just because they are your friends, then it would be a civil rights issue.

Myth #13:  Illegal immigration is important to the economy.  False.  There is no economic value in allowing people to come in to our country illegally.  All the economic value from immigrants is achieved by the legal process.  The influx of illegal immigration has a negative impact on the economy, as I explained above.

And more statistics.  The cost of educating the children of illegal aliens was estimated to cost $12,000,000,000 in 2006. So here is another reason illegal immigrants are a burden on the economy.

And a scary fact.  Terrorist cells have been set up in Mexico, and they are making their way into the United States.  Illegal drugs are also crossing our borders and being sold to our kids. So while we are fighting terrorists around the globe, we are allowing terrorists to cross our borders without even blinking an eye.  While we are fighting a war on drugs here, we are doing nothing to prevent illegal aliens from carrying it into our country with them.

Myth #12:  Illegal immigration has no impact on social fabric of America.  False.  Illegal immigration does have a negative impact on American Culture. Many people who come in illegally do not love America the way we do.  They are coming here, and they are not learning our language, and they are not accepting of our culture. Rather than assimilate into our culture, they are holding onto theirs. And I'm not saying people have to give up their culture when they come here, I'm just saying they should be Americans first. Having people of other cultures in America is one of the many things that makes America great. But people who come here must be willing to accept our culture, not change it or water it down. Traditionally, immigrants yearned to assimilate into American culture.  People who came here loved this country so much they wanted to be a part of it.  Today, many immigrants, particularly illegal immigrants, are not willing to assimilate, and instead want us to change to accept their culture. Rather than them learning our language, they want us to learn theirs. The influx of illegal immigration is watering our country down to the point that we have no culture. Rather than being a great big melting pot with one culture, we have become a salad bowl of many cultures. This is bad, because the American culture was about a dream than anyone who had an idea and a desire could improve their lot in life.  The American culture was deeply ingrained in Christianity, and it is from this that our founding documents was established.  It was on the Christian culture that traditional American values and liberties were formed. It was from the Christian culture that made America exceptional.  Many aliens are not willing to accept this.  When they come in legally, we can make sure that the people coming in are willing to assimilate so that we can keep the fabric of our country, of our culture, together. Finally, one of the reasons for the fall of Rome was because Romans were no longer willing, or able, to stop the influx of Germans into Rome. Each German clan had it's own culture, and they were not willing to adapt the Roman way of life.  The fabric of Roman culture gradually ripped apart so that Roman Citizens were ultimately seen as nothing special. This, many believe, was one of the reasons for the fall of Rome. So we need to make sure that those we let in share a love for America. Those who come here legally, and who plan on becoming citizens, are far more likely to place their loyalty to their adopted nation above their loyalty to their birth land. Those who come in with the intent of making money are more likely to hold on to the culture of their native land and shun the American way of life. They are only taking advantage of our great economy for their own personal benefit, and have nothing else to offer. They may even hate America and wish to destroy it from within.

Myth #13:  Most Americans support Amnesty.  False.  In fact, 70% of Americans believe illegal immigration hurts U.S. culture, and 63% believe they have a negative impact on our economy.  In fact, as of April 2015, 65% of likely U.S. voters oppose Obama's plan to grant amnesty to 5 million illegal aliens and allow them to apply for jobs legally.  This is similar to similar polls showing most Americans oppose an open border policy and amnesty. This should explain why Trump has gained so much momentum as a republican candidate, because he is so passionately opposed to illegal immigration and has championed for a wall, deportation, and enforcing immigration laws. These are things both Obama and George W. Bush failed to do. It is also something John Kasich and Jeb Bush have said they would not do. For the record, Marco Rubio is pretty much pro amnesty as well.  Trump and Cruz are your anti illegal immigration candidates. For the record, and again, they are not anti immigrant, they are anti illegal immigrant. Most people in this country want to see a resolution to the immigration crisis (the invasion), and that's why Trump is doing so well in the polls. The truth is that, I don't think democrats and establishment republicans have a clue what a majority of Americans think about illegal immigration. They want to force their view on the people, and the people want nothing to do with it. The truth is that Trump's immigration plan is right on par with what a majority of Americans want. Every republican elected since 2010 has been elected to stop it, and yet, once elected, most republicans just give in to democrats. Trump is in unique territory here, because he says he will solve the illegal immigration problem when he is elected. Some say his immigration plan is out of the mainstream, but the polls show that he is right on par with voters.

Myth #14: Whoever (republicans or democrats) passes immigration reform (a.k.a. amnesty) will get the votes of Mexican Americans.  False.  Establishment republicans actually think if they support amnesty Mexican Americans will see them as the good guys and vote for them.  They see it as similar to when republicans passed laws making blacks citizens.  The truth is that in the 2010 midterm election 60% of Mexican Americans voted democrat, and there's no evidence to suggest that supporting amnesty would change this.  The way to get more votes from any subgroup in America is to support programs that make America better for everyone in it, and both amnesty and illegal immigration make things worse as proven above.  The truth is that immigration reform, or amnesty, or whatever you want to call it, will result in millions more democrats. This might be proof that the money people are running the republican party and the democratic party.  They don't even try to create programs the people want anymore. They don't even try to be on the same page as the public.  They don't even try to satisfy public opinion. If they did, they would all be opposed to illegal immigration and try to stop it.

Myth #15.  We need immigration reform.  False.  What we need to do is enforce the laws already on the books.  In fact, we really shouldn't be referring to this as a problem with immigration, as immigration has a system.  You come in legally, you come here with a purpose, you follow the laws, and then you either leave or, after a time, if you are deemed a good person who has something to offer, you can apply for citizenship. When you have people coming in illegally by the thousands on a daily basis, it's not illegal immigration, it's an invasion. We have people invading our country and we are doing nothing about it accept trying to pass amnesty laws. We do not need more laws.  We do not need immigration reform because there is no problem with immigration.  To say we need immigration reform is to assume we have no immigration laws, and we do. All we need is to enforce the laws already written to stop the invasion.

Myth #16. Deporting illegals and building a fence would be too expensive.  What is immigration reform?  According to most politicians, it is amnesty, open borders, and cheap labor.  Trump proposes that we do the opposite. He proposes to build a fence, enforce laws on the books, deport illegal immigrants or encourage them to leave on their own, end NAFTA and go back to tariffs, and end practice of granting U.S. citizenship to children of illegal immigrants.  I only mention this to give an example here.  The latest estimates suggest that Trump's immigration plan would cost $166 billion. So people say we can't do it because it's too expensive.  Well, Obama increased the national debt since he was elected by $8 trillion.  He has spent $4.5 trillion on quantitative easing. How much has he spent on food stamps? The media didn't bat an eye when that money was spent.  But here we have someone willing to secure our borders to make our nation safer and to boost our economy, and all of a sudden coming up with money is not possible. That $166 billion is chump change, especially considering it will result in healthcare savings, education savings, food stamp savings, increased wages, and less unemployed or less unemployed and no longer seeking employment. Plus it will also result in fewer undocumented diseased and fewer criminals and terrorists crossing our borders and hiding in the shadows within our own country.

Final Fact.  Republicans used to own California.  It wasn't long ago that republican who became governor of California would be prime candidates for president.  Ronald Reagan was one of them.  This ended in 1986.  Today republicans don't have a single seat statewide. Only a Rhino like Arnold could become governor.  Democrats have control of everything in California, and there is a greater divide between the richest and the poorest than any other state. Rush Limbaugh explained this. He said: "You can tie the end of the Republican Party in California to 1986, and that was the Simpson-Mazzoli amnesty immigration bill. Unfortunately, this was a bill Ronald Reagan signed.  It may have been his biggest mistake as president. We're talking back then 3.9 million illegal aliens granted amnesty. Since then it's been curtains for the Republican Party, which means constant victory for the Democrat Party. They have shaped that state, and it's a mess. And it's a harbinger of where we're going nationwide. The people of this country do not want that and they're scared to death of losing their country, and immigration is the top of the reasons why they think it can happen. And they see both parties in cahoots to make it happen, and they don't understand it. People that love America do not understand this. I mean, even when you tell 'em, "Well, big-money donors say this because they want X, Y, and Z," it still doesn't make any sense. How does that trump patriotism? How does all that matter more to these people, elected officials, than patriotism, love of country, America, shining city on a hill and all that, why does that not matter anymore? "

Bottom Line.  Amnesty for illegal aliens is unfair to those who came here legally.  It is not fair to the millions of Americans who are willing to do the work illegal aliens are being hired cheaply to do.  It's not fair to the American economy either, as wages are kept low and unemployment rates kept high. Deport illegal immigrants, prevent more from coming in, and all these problems are solved. Allow people who are willing to work, and who have a dream that might make America better, to come into our home legally.  We are a nation of laws.  We need to enforce the laws. People like Trump and Cruz are standing up for the rule of law.

The truth about Obamnasty

So there's a huge debate going on regarding the legality of what Obama did last night. He basically used his executive pen to bypass Congress in order to give 5,000 or so illegal aliens amnesty. Obama is claiming that there is precedence for what he is doing, and he often sites Ronald Reagan as an example.

Pretty much every thing I just wrote is debatable.

1.  I'm referring to them as illegal aliens becasue that's basically what they are. Although the politically correct people in Washington and the media are referring to them as undocumented workers. They are, in effect, illegal, and they are, in effect, aliens.

2.  Ronald Reagan did not use his executive pen to bypass Congress, because Congress passed the Simpson-Mazzoli bill in 1986, and Reagan signed it into law.  In effect, it gave Ronald Reagan permission to use his executive pen to enforce that law. He, in effect, did not bypass Congress.

However, despite this truth, the White House announced that there is precedence, and then the media just ran with it verbatim.

3.  Obama does not have the authority to bypass Congress, as Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution clearly states: "The Congres shall have Power... to make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all powers vested by the Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Office thereof."

In other words, only Congress has the power to write laws. The president may sign them into law or veto them, but he may not write them. He may influence the agenda of Congress, but he in no way can enforce his will on Congress, nor the people, as such powers are reserved to kings and queens and dictators and emperors.

As a side note here, he does have executive privilege; he does have the ability to write executive orders.  Yet this is a privilege reserved for those emergency situations (such as impending wars or economic disasters) when Congress is not in session, not just because Congress doesn't support the president's agenda.

During his inauguration Obama, as all other presidents before him, had to recite the following oath: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

So you can see, use of his executive pen to create amnesty, in effect, encourages people to say to hell with the law.  Conservatives see this as unconstitutional. Liberals may also see it as unconstitutional, but they are willing to overlook it because it's the Constitution, after all, that stands in the way of their overly unpopular agenda (polls show 75 percent of Americans oppose amnesty).

4.  Obama is not calling it amnesty. What he is calling it is prosecutorial discretion. This is something used by prosecutors all the time, as there are so many laws being broken that they can't possibly 
prosecute them all.  So, by default, they may prioritize, going after crooks and killers over minor marijuana offenses.

Still, when, for example, prosecutors say they are not going to actively prosecute those who drink and drive, it does not mean that it is now legal to drink and drive. It just means there will be no active prosecution for such crimes. Despite prosecutorial discretion, drinking and driving is still a crime.

So, while Obama does have the Constitutional ability to determine which crimes will be prosecuted, he does not have the ability to make a crime no longer a crime, at least not without going through Congress.

5.  Obama's act encourages anarchy.  By ignoring the law, Obama is, in essence, encouraging others to do the same.  It is for this reason that many are saying that Obama, by this act of his executive pen, is encouraging anarchy.

So what to do about all the illegal immigrant kids?

About 250 unaccompanied immigrant children are coming across our southern border every day. Why are they coming here and what can we do.

They are kids, so it's not like we can just send them home. Any one who even mentions doing that would be considered heartless and inconsiderate.  But Lord knows that doesn't happen in America.

Who are they?  Most of these kids are not from Mexico, but from El Salvador, Guatamala, and Nicaragua.  They are crossing the southern border into Arizona and Texas.

Once they get here they are transferred to Borer Patrol facilities, who then try to find placement for them.  Based on immigration and asylum laws, many of these kids could be held up so long here that they could be granted the right to stay here.

Lord known kids don't leave home without a parent or guardian pushing them across.  Parents know that Obama and Congress have considered a dream act, whereby the parents and family members of kids who are in the U.S., whether citizens other not, may also be set on a path to citizenship.

I think that even our president, Barack Obama, knows this. A part of me believes that he champions amnesty and the dream act implicitly so people will come here, and kids will come here, because some day they will become democrats.  And, worse, I think Obama knows that if republicans cry out to send these children home, there will be a public outcry against them -- republicans that is.

In this way, I think Obama is using the kids against republicans.

Breitbart Texas reported that these kids get immediate assistance, including classroom education, healthcare, socialization, recreation, vocational training, mental health services, and family reunification.  Many of these kids, most of them, will be put into the foster care system.  They also get a pro-bono attorney. All of this costs a ton of money.

Well, the attorney usually doesn't cost money, because usually they are volunteers. But the rest costs a ton of money. Bottom line is, they are treated like U.S. citizens without a home.  As good Christians and virtuous Americans this seems like the only right thing to do.

The kids are then reunified with their parents.  Those who say they should leave are considered inconsiderate.

Is it possible this set up was an intended consequence of Obama's immigration policies? Some say that it was, or is.  They say that nothing like this has ever happened before under any other president, and the borders have almost always been open.

Some say that 90% of these kids and their families will be eligible for amnesty, and will some day become democrats.  Coincidence?

Ironically, many republicans are making no efforts to stop Obama.  In fact, even George W. Bush and Mitt Romney had their own amnesty plans.  Even while most Mexican Americans vote democrat, some say it was the hope of Bush and Romney that if they were to sign an amnesty law they would change their vote.  So, if this is true, Bush's amnesty attempt, much like Obama's attempt, was all about politics (which was uncharictaristic for Bush).

The only people standing in the way of this all happening, the amnesty thing, are tea party conservatives, libertarians, and a few democrats.  They are the only ones willing to stand up and defend what 77% of Americans want: no amnesty.

Bottom line: there needs to be something done to force Mexico and Central American countries to tell their people to cross the U.S. border legally or not at all. Until that time comes, the crisis will not come to an end.

Should republicans fight social justice?

Some people say that in order for republicans to remain a viable second party is to support the liberal agenda, that includes the fundamental transformation of America from a melting pot to a salad bowl.

What do I mean?  Well, until the 1960s the United States was melting pot, whereby immigrants who came here voluntarily assimilated. They willingly studied American history and learned English.  They were proud to be here.

Today, we are considered intolerant and racist when we do this. So, instead of being a nation united, we are a nation divided.  So it's this divided nation that is the salad bowl.  Instead of being a nation of Americans (traditional America), we have become an America of Spanish Americans, African Americans, etc.

On June 12, Peter Beinart said that republicans either need to become democrats or they will lose viability.  That means that if they continue to hold on to their traditional American roots, they will cease to exist as a viable party.

He said that America today is no longer the America of WWII, that it is changing. He said there is nothing we can do about it, so we might as well accept it rather than fight it.  In fact, if we fight it, we will no longer be viable.

Beinart believes there is a demographic shift in America that includes a rising tide of immigrants, Hispanics, African-Americans, Native Americans, single women.

We as a nation need to be tolerant of different nationalities, as opposed to simply assimilating them. We need to be all for social justice and social change. 

The America of WWII is old news.  That country was racist, bigoted and homophobic.  That country was denying people their social justice. We were a superpower, but only because people got rich in this country at the expense of the poor and downtrodden in this country and everywhere else in the world.

He believed democrats are optimistic toward this.  He said: 
When grassroots Democrats look at the growing percentage of Latinos, African Americans, and young people, they see a growing constituency for tolerance and social justice.
Republicans, on the contrary, he believed are more pessimistic toward immigration.  He said:
When grassroots Republicans do, they see a growing constituency of takers, who want to turn America away from its exceptional nature.
In other words, he's saying the only thing we republicans can do to remain viable is to give up on our principles, give up on the American dream, and accept the fundamental transformation of America. Because if you don't, it's going to happen anyway.  If you don't join us, you will not be a part of us, and you won't be loved and adored as we will be.

There is a lot of truth in this.  There are a lot of republicans, or at least mainstream republicans, who are afraid to stand up for their principles and oppose Obama on amnesty, because they are afraid of just what Beinart was describing.

I honestly believe that the reason many members of a republican controlled congress keep trying to push for amnesty, even though most members of Congress, and most Americans, oppose it, is exactly because of what Beinart was describing.

I do not, however, think it is ever a good idea to give up on principle. America is always worth fighting for, even at the cost of losing elections. In this way, the only thing standing in the way of the republican establishment is the republican base, or the tea party.

The crisis on the southern border

I am not an isolationist per se, although I do think it's time we close our borders for a while in order to regroup as a nation. I also think it's important that we close our borders until we decide what to do with all the illegal immigrants that have made their way into our country.

Keep in mind here that I am not hostile to immigration.  I am hostile to illegal immigration and the accommodation of illegal immigration.  I am hostile to the fact that we have given up assimilating immigrants to the American culture, the American way of life. We're losing our country here, slowly but surely.

I think the uncontrollable influx of immigration over the past several years is a severe crisis, mainly a crisis of the southern border.  Surely most of these people are good people trying to make a living for themselves and their families. Yet they have become a burden to our healthcare system, both literally and physically. The entovirus that has spread across this nation is thought to have come from the influx of American children entering our country.

They have also become an economic burden particularly to border states, who are forced by law to treat them in hospitals, and even to allow them a share of a welfare and social security system that they have in no way paid into.  To the states having to deal with the massive influx of illegal immigrants, this is a crisis indeed.


Then you have the issue of the twelfth amendment, which reads:

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."
Some people interpret this to mean that if you are born in the U.S., even if you are born by an illegal immigrant who just crossed the border, you are automatically a citizen.  So, what do we do with these kids and their parents?

So you can see how complicated this issue becomes.

Polls show that I am not alone in my concern.  I am not alone in wanting to seal our borders.  I am also not alone in my belief that there are plenty of laws regarding immigration already on the books that should be enforced, and by enforcing those laws the immigration issue could easily be resolved.

Polls show that about 75 percent of Americans want the borders secured and immigration laws enforced. Polls show that 77 percent of Americans want the 60,000 unaccompanied children on the southern border who came into this country illegally sent back home.  Polls show that 68 percent disapprove of Obama's handling of the immigration issue in regards to these children, and in regards to the amnesty issue,

To be straight, polls show that George W. Bush was wrong in this regard as well, meaning neither of the last two presidents are on the same page with the American populace on this immigration issue. The people believe it to be a crisis, while Bush and Obama simply want to forgive these criminals of their crimes.

Texas Governor Rick Perry has said that over 203,000 illegal immigrants are now in Texas jails, responsible for 3,000 homicides and 8,000 sexual assaults.  These are not the types of immigrants we want in our country.  What we want here are people who are willing to assimilate, and have something to offer.

Estimates show that 250 children come across our borders every day, and, instead of being sent home, they are sent to unmarked homes in unmarked states.  They are sent to sanctuary cities, or cities that do not enforce immigration laws and provide shelter for illegal immigrants.

There area also those who believe the borders should be secured in order to control and prevent the spread of diseases like the Ebola virus and Entovirus 68.  In fact, about 75 percent of Americans are in favor of securing the border to West African nations infected with the Ebola virus.

Obama has continued to say that he would like to give illegal immigrants presently in this country amnesty, while many republican leaders seem to support him on this issue, possibly because they fear doing otherwise would cause a backlash by voters.  They also feel that, once given their freedom, illegal immigrants, once they earn citizenship, will reward those who voted to give them amnesty.  

Other republicans, however, believe the issue of amnesty is not a good idea, and that the laws should be enforced, the borders protected, illegal immigrants hunted down and sent home, and the borders protected to prevent the illegal crossing of our borders again.  Most Americans, apparently, support this vision.  

Are these kids coming here, or being sent here (because I have trouble with the thought of kids leaving home on their own), because "their parents" want to become U.S. citizens by strike of the Obama's pen?  If so, that's scary. 

Some are actually postulating that Obama is purposefully allowing these kids to come here, knowing that they are future democrats.  They believe if republicans send these illegal immigrants home they will be seen as bullies, and, therefore, amnesty is a win-win for democrats. 

Republicans are in favor of amnesty because they believe Spanish-Americans will start voting for them if they are seen as responsible for amnesty.  Yet most evidence shows that Spanish-Americans, while fiscally conservative, generally vote democrat.

Some people say we have always been a nation of open borders, so we must continue to keep our borders open.  Yet this is not true.  Between 1924 and 1965 we shut down immigration. We closed the borders so that those who had arrived could assimilate and become American, which they wanted to do, by the way. 

They learned English. They became accustomed to American holidays. They wanted to become Americans.

So it's not unprecedented to take a break and regroup on immigration, especially during times of war or in times of crisis.  But instead of making efforts to lock our borders and enforce laws, Obama is now threatening to create amnesty with his executive pen.  Republicans seem to have no interest in stopping him.

The bottom line is that three quarters of Americans want the borders secured and the laws enforced, yet the people with the power to make this happen seem more concerned with their own political ambitions.

Perry looking very presidential on immigration issue

A while back I wrote a post about how political analyst Dick Morris predicted that Rick Perry would be the next GOP nominee. Today, that prediction is looking great as Rick Perry is by far presenting himself as the most presidential.

Today Morris's prediction is looking good, as Rick Perry has sent the National Guard to protect the Texas border to prevent any more immigrants from trying to illegally cross in the hopes that they can get amnesty.

A while back Barack Obama made an executive order that families with children in America may come to the United States to be with their familes.  He is likewise trying encourage Congress to pass laws giving illegal immigrants amnesty.  This has basically encouraged unhappy Mexicans to illegally cross into America, or at least send their children this way in the hopes they'll be able to join them later.

It's been estimated that over 250 children are crossing the border every day. Many states are very concerned, petitioning the president to put a stop to this, as they cannot afford to house, school and provide healthcare for all these illegal children.

The influx become so pandemic it's scary right now to be an American.  Yet Obama does not see it as a crisis.  His response is to say "I'll look into it" or "it's the republicans fault because they voted against my immigration reform."

Of course former President George Bush is not off the hook either, as he was encouraged to put troops on the border to prevent such a crisis from occurring, and he didn't so either.

I think both Bush, and now Obama, do not put troops on the border because both of them fear that doing such a thing would cause Spanish Americans to prefer the other party.  Of course, by looking at trends, most of the people crossing the border are uneducated, and most likely to vote democrat regardless.

Both also did so under the guise that American has always been a state of open borders, something that is not true.

Today we don't even ask that those who cross our borders assimilate. This was good, because America is better when we are one united nation (a melting pot) as opposed to a divided nation (a salad bowl).  United we can conquer any problem, although divided we fall.

Rick Perry looks good by sending troops to the border.  His move looks even better when you consider that a recent poll shows that greater than 70 percent of Americans believe we should secure our border and send illegal immigrants back home.
